 September 2012

The message for this month is about "God is Love" in His Holy Bible and what it means to us.  May God bless this message and bless those that read it.

THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS LOVE

 AND

THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS LOVE

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Galatians 5:22 (KJV)

That itself is amazing.  I truly feel that in these last days that God is pouring out His Spirit, The Spirit of Love.  And we will see more of His Love coming forth in ministry and His Church.  When we were filled with the Holy Spirit we were filled with the Spirit of Love.

I was thinking about when I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior how I was receiving His Spirit / His Spirit of Love.  I can remember feeling such a love, and I felt loved even if situations around me were grim.  And we know God is Love.  He delights to pour His love into us.

MANKIND NEEDS LOVE

Why is that so?  That was the one great need of mankind that was the thing which Christ’s redemption came to accomplish “to restore love to this world”.  When man sinned, why was it that he sinned?  I believe selfishness triumphed he sought self instead of God.  God’s Love was forsaken with evidence of man and woman accusing each other of having led them astray.  Does that not teach us that sin has come to rob the world of love?

One of the things I believe that sin did for man was to make him selfish, for when we are selfish and have a cold or stony heart toward God and other people we cannot love like the Word of God says we are to do. I heard a preacher sometime back say in a message on the love of God, “two things that keep us from loving one another is TRUST and TIME. Just take a moment to think about that. I ask this question; what keeps us from loving one another? Is it our trusting someone or is that we are so busy that we don’t take the time. Oh may we all take the time in trusting those who we are around us and take the time to allow the God to pour His love upon us and through us. The world needs God’s love folks. 1John 4:7  says; “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God”.

The Lord Jesus Christ came down from Heaven as the Son of God’s love. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. John 3:16 (KJV). He came to show us again what Love is, He lived a life of love, His compassion for the people, He died a death of love.  When Jesus Christ arose and returned to Heaven, whom did He send down? The Spirit of Love, to come and banish selfishness and envy and pride and to bring the love of God into the hearts of men.  The fruit of the Spirit is Love.  Alleluia!

Everyone needs love.  We were created in God’s image, His Love.

LOVE IS GOD’S GIFT.

LOVE CONQUERS ALL

LOVE SHOWS GOD’S POWER

CHRISTIAN WORK REQUIRES LOVE

Love is hard to find, but as we give up self and let His Holy Spirit of Love shine forth, this is what the lost are in need of seeing.

Scriptures from the Word of God on Love

Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. Proverbs 10:12 (KJV)

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.(KJV)

44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew 5:43,44  (KJV)

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:37-40 (KJV)

34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:34-35 (KJV)

If ye love me, keep my commandments John 14:15  (KJV)

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:21 (KJV)

12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:12,13  (KJV)

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36As it is written,  For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39 (KIV)

Charity (Love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity (Love) envieth not; charity (Love) vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 1 Corinthians 13:4  (KJV)

Follow after charity (Love), and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. 1 Corinthians 14:1 (KJV)

Now the end of the commandment is charity (Love) out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: 1 Timothy 1:5  (KJV)

We love him, because he first loved us. 1John 4:19

5 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.6 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. 2John 1:5, 6 (KJV)

My Own Thoughts

We pray that you have been blessed by the Word of God and His wonderful Love for us all. Until next month continue to seek God’s face and Love one another as Christ Loves the church.
