March 2012

The message for this month is about faith. We want to focus on Romans  chapter 10 verse 17 to bring you a word that God put in our hearts on faith. May God bless this message and bless those that read it.

It is said that Hebrews chapter 11 is the faith chapter of the Bible. Their is so much that we can learn from the Word of God. It will help us each day in every part of our lives if only by faith we believe and receive God's Word.

WHEN YOUR FAITH IS TESTED

"When Life Seems Unfair"

Faith sees the invisible.

Faith believes the incredible.

Faith receives the impossible.

From Thesaurus:

Invisible; imperceptible, unseen, indistinguishable, indiscernible, too small to see.

Incredible; hard to believe, unbelievable, barely credible, far-fetched, inconceivable.

Impossible; unfeasible; impracticable, unworkable, not viable, without a solution, unattainable, unachievable, out of the question, hopeless, ridiculous.

When my faith is strong: I can see the invisible; I can see the invisible things of God; I can see what God shows me, I can believe the incredible; I can believe the reports of the Lord not what the doctors say or your friends say or others that are around you  and I can receive the impossible; I  can receive the true Holy word of God and believe that with God all things are possible  impossible that God can do in my life and others.

But, if my faith is weak then: “I cannot see the invisible, what God wants me to see”, nor can “I believe that God can do incredible things”, nor can “I receive the impossible, my healing or miracle that God wants to do in my life or others around me”.

Faith sees the Invisible

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Romans 1:20 (KJV)

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: Colossians 1:15 (KJV)

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Colossians 1:16 (KJV)

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. 1Timothy 1:17 (KJV)

By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. Hebrews 11:27 (KJV)

Faith believes the Incredible

Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead? Acts 26:8 (KJV)

 Faith receives the Impossible

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20 (KJV)

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 (KJV)

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. Mark 10:27 (KJV)

For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37 (KJV)

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, Hebrew 6:4 (KJV)

Obstacles That Test Faith

1. Discouraging Circumstances “what we face each day of our lives”

2. Unbelieving Friends “you need to have friends that believe”

3. Divine Delays “delays in a vision that God has given you or you’re calling in Ministry etc.”

4. Healing or Prayers  “this one works on us very much, do we take the time to wait on God for our healing or to answer our prayers, remember we are on God’s timing not our own”.

Trust in God “this is a big one here, when it all falls apart what do we do, do we turn to God for the answers or do we depend on man.”

When Life Seems Unfair

In April 2008 Susan and I had came home from a ministry trip and on April 9, we received a call from or daughter Tonya whom I called Punkin. She was in severe pain and we told her to go to the emergency room to find out what was going on. We received two phone calls that they had found a mass and she was going to have surgery the next day. We were told that the mass was cancer and she had colon cancer in stage four. We stayed with her for the next 3 months and on July 10 I had double bypass surgery and I ended up going through two surgery’s in the same day. Our daughter came to stay with us later and Punkin went to be with Jesus in January 2009. “That morning I ask God this question, I said God how are you going to get the Glory for this.” I Came to say to each one of you; God will never leave you nor forsake you.

2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:2-4 (KJV)

Changing my Why

Have you ever asked or thought something like this,

1. Why am I going through this God; this is not fair

2. Why is this happening to me Lord?

3. Why me Lord?

4. Why aren’t others going through this trail?

5. Why did you allow this in my life?

Into a What

1. What are you trying to show me God?

2. What am I going to learn through this experience?

3. What we are walking through we can give God all the Glory.

Healing through God and His Word

When we are going through a situation or walking through a traumatic time in our lives, who can we depend upon or go to in the darkest hour. God is our source and strength.

When we don’t understand what we are going through we must wait for the Lord to do His work. Hold onto the promises of God’s word.

We can give God all the glory, when we give comfort and hope to others that might be going through what we are walking through.

When Susan and I are or have gone through the toughest times in our lives, we have had to hold onto the word of God and put all our trust and have faith in Him.

Have you heard this: GOD WILL NOT PUT MORE ON YOU THEN YOU CAN HANDLE; OR GOD DOESN’T GIVE YOU MORE THEN YOU CAN bear.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1Corinthians 10:13  (KJV)

You have been put to no test but such as is common to man: and God is true, who will not let any test come on you which you are not able to undergo; but he will make with the test a way out of it, so that you may be able to go through it. 1Corinthians 10:13  (BBE)

I saw this saying on a wall plaque at a funeral home. "God doesn't give us what we can handle; God helps us handle what we are given". These words have been a great help to me when I am going through those really trying times in my journeys in life.

Walking through life's difficulties

"This is an Excerpt from my book [My Journey Back to my Father] dedicated to my daughter Tonya (Punkin)".

I want to give you an insight of what I call “walking through life’s difficulties” and going through the challenges of life. At times it seems all most impossible or never ending in the difficult times that we have endured through trauma or sickness or diseases that try to hinder us in our life’s journey, but God is faithful. I will say to you that it has been one of the most difficult times in my life that I have ever walked through, it even surpasses the Vietnam War and my heart operation. My heart and life has a big void and it has left a big hole in my heart that only God can heal in His time. One would never thank that you would out live your child, it has changed my whole life which will never be the same again. Tonya left us with these words, she would say to us mom and dad “Time Is Precious”; “All The Glory To God”.

A letter to God

I wrote this letter a few weeks after our daughter went home to be with Jesus when I was broken in heart and grieving with a big void in my life.

Dear God,

I know you know my every thought this day. I come to you with such a broking heart, one that has sadness, hurt and pain. I know that you care and love me unconditionally and for that I am forever grateful. I do not understand all that is going on with my life at this very moment but you do. I would ask that you would continue to hold me in your arms and guide me each and every moment of the day.

I need your help in ever decision and choice that I would make. I believe in your every word of the Holy Bible. I ask that your Holy Spirit would be my teacher and comforter each day. I just need you Jesus in my life even more then life its self, for you alone are so worthy to praise and to know.

My heart Oh God is just hurting so much at this time, I need help in getting through this difficult time, I know that you know the outcome already and I know that you are my refuge and shelter in all that I go through.

Wait (wait in faith) on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalms 27:14 (KJV)

My faith and trust in God is thankfulness to Him. I thank you for getting me over every mountain, I thank you for bringing me through every valley, and I thank you for seeing me through every test.

Scriptures in time of weary, heavy laden into rest in Jesus Christ;

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 (KJV)

Come to me, all you who are troubled and weighted down with care, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 (BBE)

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek(gentle) and lowly(humble) in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:29 (KJV)

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:30 (KJV)

Moments in God

Someone sent Susan and I the following words after our daughter went home to be with the Lord:

Happy Moments, Praise God

Difficult Moments, Seek God

Quiet Moments, Worship God

Painful Moments, Trust God

Every Moment, Thank God

My Prayer for You

The LORD bless you and watch, guard, and keep you: Numbers 6:24 (AMP).

The LORD make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you: Numbers 6:25 (AMP).

The LORD lift up His (approving) countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually). Numbers 6:26  (AMP).

 Conclusion

If you would like to have a relationship with Jesus Christ in your heart and life, please take the time to pray this prayer.

It is our prayer that this message of "When our Faith is Tested" has brought not only healing but comfort, hope and help to you.

May God's riches and blessings be poured out on your life.

In His Service,

William & Susan
